name. otterpaw.
gender. female.
age. eight moons.
alliance. thunderclan.
rank. medicine cat apprentice.
appearance. otterpaw is one of those rare, exotic creatures you could look at for hours. everything about her is defined and elegant, joining up perfectly to create a young, beautiful she-cat. she has a smooth pelt, almost impossible to tell where the fur ends and where her features begin. her bones are well-hidden beneath her sleek coat, except around her legs, where they poke out enough to make her body angular but not unpleasant to look at. otterpaw's eyes are set wide on her face, giving her the appearance of an innocent kitten. they're large and round, colored a shade of bright blue. violet flecks are splattered across them, making her eyes sparkle in the sunlight and flash at night. her nose is set like a cherry in the centre of her face, the color of chocolate. below that, her lips spread into a faint, lingering smile that never seems to leave. the apprentice's body is long and elegant, built for running and swift, agile movement. she has petite, nimble paws, used to the delicate work of a medicine cat. she's extremely light of weight, which proves to be an advantage when it comes to hunting. however, if attacked by an enemy, she is easily shoved around. otterpaw's fur is chocolatey brown, splattered with creamy white spots. her is covered in brown, save for her left eye, which is splashed with white. white covers her entire tail, and stretches from the bottom of her right back paw to the joint mid-way up her leg. she moves gracefully, though she has almost no muscle to speak of. some might think she's underfed, which is probably true. she tends to eat as little as possible so the clan have more. but she gets by, and thankfully, she doesn't have to do a lot of fighting. she might look a whole lot different if that were the case.
personality. i'm sure you think by now that otterpaw is a sweet, gentle cat who very much cares for others. truth is, she doesn't give a mouse tail for anyone but herself. she can seem loyal and devoted at times, especially towards her friends, but if the choice was her life or the clan's, she'd pick hers. she hides her selfishness well, especially since she's a medicine cat. having to care for others gives the impression that one is selfless, not selfish. i did say she ate as little as possible, so the clan could have more. this is true, because she does little things like that to make the clan believe she is a better cat. even than, eating less benefits her appearance, and could be selfish if you looked at it from the right perspective. otterpaw can have a sharp tongue at times, too. she tends to fawn over the cats who come into the den, but she switches easily between harsh and gentle, and won't hesitate to snap at them. if some cat rubs her the wrong way, she won't hesitate to strike back, and then return to the sweet little thing everyone loves. she like a poisonous butterfly: beautiful appearance, deadly personality. the other thing about otterpaw is that she's the biggest flirt thunderclan has to offer. she'll 'accidentally' brush her fur against a tom's, or become a little too affectionate when sharing tongues. she hasn't had any serious situations to tell her she might get in trouble or hurt someone, but even if she did, she probably wouldn't care. selfish, remember?
history. otterpaw was born a half-clan cat, her mother a queen named ravenwing, her father a warrior named nightclaw. there were six kits in the litter, but two were stillborn. the remaining four were named dewkit, pebblekit, minnowkit, and otterkit, all in honour of riverclan, her mother's birth clan. ravenwing had fallen in love with nightclaw as an apprentice, and ran away to thunderclan because of it. as the kits grew up, otterkit's selfish personality became clear. she cried when anyone beat her, fought when anyone question her, and yelled when they didn't let her be in charge. she was a brat to the rest of the kits, and everyone knew it. but what could they do? only ravenwing had the authority to punish her daughter, and she believed otterkit was the most innocent out of the lot. otterkit loved the way she was treated, since everyone listened to her, and she didn't want to let it go as an apprentice. but, she had a mentor at that point. and a mentor could punish her. she snapped at the sick and injured, and the medicine cat always caught her. so, otterpaw learned to hide her selfishness. she taught herself to switch between emotions quickly, to hide her anger after she snapped at someone. if they tattled on her, she played the innocent apprentice.
other. none.
