A large blue tom cat sat in the clearing. It wasn't much of a clearing, considering they lived on the moors. It was cold. He sat alone, shivering in the small amount of snow that had fallen. The fact that he was very skinny didn't help either. But, he was a WindClan. This was normal for him. He was getting used to it by now. He shook his head in disappointment. Honestly, he hated the snow. Most other cats did too, but he despised it. He bit into the remains of a rabbit he had caught. He didn't particularly like rabbit. Maybe it was because he was Half-Clan. Maybe is was his ThunderClan sense speaking. Maybe he should be eating mice, and be nice and plump. He dismissed the thought from his head. No. That was the exact thinking that made all of the WindClan cats dislike him. But, he couldn't help but wonder. What was ThunderClan like? If it was anything like his father, Bluepelt, he wanted nothing to do with it. He had never met him. And he never really planned to, honestly. He hated him. And he vowed to himself as a kit that he would kill him if he ever had the chance. His mother didn't deserve anything she was forced to go through. She was as perfect as a StarClan cat, in Bluewhiskers eyes. He began to get angry, and cast the thoughts from his head. As those thoughts left, the thought of hunger returned to his mind, and stomach. He was starving. But again, as a WindClan cat, he was used to that kind of thing. He ate the rabbit to the point where there was nothing left except the bones. He tossed the bones into the snow. His green-yellow eyes shot up and looked around camp. Empty. Which was a bit unusual. He heard the movement of paws in snow, and smelt a WindClan cat. He wasn't sure who. Maybe the cold was dulling his senses. He was relieved once he finally saw who it was, and let out a sigh. He gave a warm, welcoming smile. A classic thing for Bluewhisker to do. He had done it since he was a kit, and became popular with it amongst the cats. His smile stayed glued to his face, and he meowed simply "Creeping up on me, are you?"

ooc: // I thought this posted... Obviously not. I blame technology.
Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, Blue eyes moved restlessly as their owner padded her way across the snow covered moorland. A stiff wind blew around her, playing with her medium length fur and forcing it's way into her bones. The deputy shivered as she walked, her pawsteps leaving deep tracks while she did. Her tail twitched disappointingly as her mind was shrouded in dark thoughts. It was late leaf-bare and her Clan was still in it's clutches. Gulping she looked around her patrol and painfully noticed almost every rib on some of the cats. Luckily her fur hid her distress from her Clanmates. She didn't want them to think she was weak. Sighing she slipped into camp after a large tom and another gust of wind blew up a flurry of snow. It twirled in a delicate but intricate pattern before sinking onto the ground once more. It had been many moons since her ceremony but many cats still doubted her ability to follow in their leader's paw steps... even her at times. Padding over to the fresh-kill pile she dropped her catch and her heart clenched in worry. It was so small. How were they going to survive? Brow crinkling in frustration she began to head back out but paused as a scent caught her nose. " Creeping up on me?" The voice called to her lightly, a smile decorating his handsome face. It was good, happy go lucky Bluewhisker. " Hey Bluewhisker. How's the prey running?" She asked turning to face him. Although she immediately regretted her choice of words as her eyes skimmed over the skinny rabbit at his feet. She blushed and continued, " Not good by the look of it."but to add color to my sunset sky.

Bluewhisker watched his deputy carefully as she approached him. He didn't know her very well. But, she had never harassed him for being Half-Clan, so he assumed she would be friendly. He gave a large smile and greeted her, "Morning, Raindapple". His hazel eyes followed her steadily. He chuckled at her comment, and shrugged his large shoulders "I guess not" he admitted, his tail motioning to the fresh-kill pile "Prey hasn't been running well for any cat, by the looks out it" he meowed with a friendly look. Truthfully, he didn't know what to think of the fresh-kill pile. He had sort of gotten used to it, which was hard to admit for him. He was usually a very proud, and confident cat. It was hard to admit that he was a bit weak at the moment, with nothing but scraps to eat. He sensed worry in his clan-mates voice, and didn't want to worry her even further. He nodded abruptly to her, "We'll get through it" he meowed, "We always do, right?" he added, giving a nervous laugh. He was mostly reassuring himself, not her. He just didn't want to starve. More importantly, he didn't want the elders or kits to starve. Or most importantly, his mother. Pure fear swept over him just thinking about it. He sent the thought out of his head. He snapped back into reality, unsure if Raindapple had even noticed. He hoped she had felt a little better, even from that. He also hoped that he would feel better also. He needed to stop worrying so much. Newleaf would be here soon. Then, everyone would be nice and plump. Even WindClan.

Raindapple gave him a light smile, "Why yes, of course we do Bluewhisker." She flicked her tail knowing his words rang with truth. Against all odds, Windclan seemed to survive time and time again, no matter how many hardships were tossed their way. "How is everything?" She asked him, not wanting to end the conversation in worry that she would relapse into dark thoughts. OOC: Sorry for the short reply, couldn't think of anything else! Next one will be longer ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Bluewhisker felt a bit better. If the WindClan deputy felt good about it, the he should to. He smiled happily and nodded, completely forgetting the nervous thoughts he had earlier. He eagerly awaited what she would say next. Bluewhisker enjoyed socializing. Especially with cats who he had never spoken to; he was perfectly fine explaining everything in his life and exactly how it was, without lying or avoiding a certain subject. With the exception of his father. That was a dark place for Bluewhisker. "Things are going great" he admitted, shrugging his large shoulders, "Aside from the scarcity of prey, things seem to be going great" he assured her with a smile. His bright eyes shifted towards Raindapple. Curiosity sparked in the warriors mind. Why had she chosen now to talk to him? Was she just being friendly? That's what he had assumed. He tried not to think about it much. He want another WindClan cat to hate him, especially the deputy. He gave her a light smile "How are things going for you, my deputy?" he meowed curiously, shooting her a small, playful smirk. Even if he didn't know her well, he was still going to be himself. But he didn't want to give the wrong impression either. He sat silently and watched his deputy - awaiting what she was going to say next.

Raindapple laughed at his quirky playful remark. "Things are going well enough actually." She meowed to him, not wanting to share the personal details of her life. How she doubted every decision that she made, how her brother seemed to despise every hair on her body, how her sister was slowly pulling away from her, and how Quillflight was the only one who seemed to care for her. On the inside she was a raging storm of swirling emotions, but on the outside she remained calm and collected... but again her eyes betrayed her. Those cursed beautiful blue eyes were like a looking glass into her thoughts. "Say Bluewhisker, would you like to hunt? I mean, the pile is low enough, so we need to." She meowed and then hurriedly continued, "This isn't an order or anything!" She just wanted a friendly hunt to take her mind off of everything, and he seemed like just the cat to help.

Bluewhisker felt as if everything wasn't going 'well enough' for his deputy, but he decided not to ask. He had a feeling that she did not want to stick on this topic, and that was why she changed it. So, he nodded quickly and gave a warm smile "I'd love to" he meowed simply. He figured he'd take a shot in the dark. Why not, right? The next thing he said he wasn't really prepared to say, it just sort of spilled out, "As long as you tell me whats on your mind on the way" his bright eyes staring deep into hers. His tail flicked back and forth slowly, and his gaze continued to press into Raindapple. He didn't know her well, but he could almost sense something was wrong. It was like a 6th sense for Bluewhisker. He had often been able to do it around his mother. He looked to the floor, "I may not know you the best.." he purred, and continued "But I can tell when my deputy isn't 100%" he said finally. He had said enough - or maybe too much. He didn't think he should say anything else, he wouldn't want to pressure her into spilling her thoughts. So he decided he wouldn't say a thing, and just watch her. Maybe it would be a good thing for her. Maybe it would make her hate him, he wasn't really sure at the moment. He had a hard time thinking around her, he couldn't really focus on what to say like he normally could. This was odd for Bluewhisker, usually he had no problem talking to any cat.
