Name: Hawkstar
Gender: Male
Age: 47 moons
Alliance: ThunderClan
Rank: Leader
Appearance: Handsome would be an understatement. Hawkstar is one of those huge, muscular tabby toms that practically lights up a room. He's a cheeky little pirate, and won't hesitate to use his looks to his advantage. Powerful muscles are packed under his fur, rippling with every step he takes. He has to pay for his brute force, in that he has little stamina and next to no speed. He can't walk lightly on his paws, due to the fact that he's so heavy-set. But he's a monster in battle, easily taking on two or three at a time. Hawkstar's fur is chocolaty brown, streaked with shadowy black stripes. The stripes are thick across his body and broad shoulders, but thinner around his legs, tail and face. Hawkstar has a row of slightly yellowed, but needle-sharp teeth, and thin, pale claws that slide in and out with ease. His eyes resemble two pale green lanterns, edged with yellow. Two large ears sit atop his head, and a small black nose is set between his eyes. He has a handsome face, which he valued more than anything when he was young.
Personality: Although Hawkstar has grown out of his young rascal personality, parts of it still hide within him. Although he doesn't flirt with every she-cat he sees, he does use this to his advantage at times. He has done it with past leaders, convincing them that he is right. He has comforted worried cats, and often toys with the younger female apprentices. He's careful not to go too far, though. He learned his lesson well. At this point, Hawkstar is more of the kind, wise leader he needs to be. Although his first answer is often battle, he tries to make decisions for the good of his Clan. He is super protective, especially over his mate and kits. Family first, then the Clan, then himself. Hawkstar tends to be short-tempered when debating something. He always wants his way, often blind to the fact that others might have a better idea than him. He always has to be in charge. Before he became leader, he worked hard to get the spot. That rank has been his goal since the day he was born. Then there's the loving, fatherly side of him. As I said, he is super protective of his kits. Even if he doesn't love their mother, he loves them, and will die to make sure they live a long, happy life.
History: On a cool night in the middle of autumn, a young tabby lay in a pile of red and orange leaves. This was Naomi, Hawkstar's mother. At her paws lay two, healthy kits: a brown tabby tom, and a creamy white she-cat. They were loners, but Naomi was scrawny, and could barely feed herself. She didn't have enough food for the kits, too. She had heard tales of the Clans when she was a kit, and that ThunderClan was brave, true, and loyal. She wanted her kits to grow up like that. So, in the middle of the night, she dropped them off at the border. They were picked up by the dawn patrol, and sent immediately to the nursery. Queens tended to them as soon as possible, and when they decided to accept the kits into their Clan, named them Hawk-kit and Mousekit. That is where Hawkstar's journey began. They grew up knowing exactly where they were from. Naomi judged ThunderClan correctly, since they told Hawk-kit and his sister the truth. Both of them knew they were found on the border, and that no one knew who their mother was. Hawk-kit was a boisterous little thing, and a show-off. He could do whatever he wanted, thanks to his size. He was extremely intimidating to most of the tom kits. But what about the she-kits? Well, more than half had crushes on him. They followed him around, and he knew why. He always had to be top dog, the one in charge. He couldn't have any of the girls following another tom. Apprentice ceremonies came, and young Hawkpaw took off at a running start. He could fight better than many of the older apprentices, but as I mentioned, his downfall was hunting and speed. Thankfully, he never had to run from a fight. He always faced his opponent without fear. Those moons flew by, and before they knew it, they had become warriors. Hawktalon and Mousewhisker, they were called. Hawktalon was already extremely protective of his sister, although she could fend for herself. They were two of the best warriors ThunderClan had to offer. Brackentwist, a friend of the two, had grown up with them, ever since they were kits. She'd had a crush on Hawktalon all her life, and finally decided to tell him. Now, Hawktalon didn't feel the same as Brackentwist, but being the flirt he was, he went along with it. In a heat moment, they became mates, and she was going to have kits. Horrified by what he'd done, Hawktalon admitted to his friend that he didn't love her. She was heartbroken, but she wouldn't tell him that. She said she would let him go, so long as he promised he would act as the kits father. He agreed, and they separated. That was when he met Flamespirit. She was a hot-tempered tomboy unlike anyone else Hawktalon knew, and he fell head over heels for her. It took her a long time to catch on to his feelings, but when she did, she felt the same. For a long time, they tried to ignore each other. Falmespirit couldn't be sure that Hawktalon's feelings were real, and he didn't want to do the same thing to her that he'd done to Brackentwist. At that time, a battle broke out between ThunderClan and ShadowClan, and both Flamespirit and Hawktalon were sent into battle. They fought bravely, but Flamespirit received an almost fatal wound. In anger, Hawktalon murdered the cat that had hurt her, and, in a panic, told Flamespirit he loved her. They returned home, and over the next few weeks, Flamespirit began to recover. The deputy had died in battle, and Hawktalon was chosen to take his place. Their leader was old, and would die soon. Hawktalon was scared, worried about his new position and what it would mean for him and Flamespirit. The two began an uneasy relationship, somewhat like high school sweethearts. Then Brackentwist had her kits. Seeing how much Hawktalon loved them, Flamespirit grew farther away from him, believing that his loyalty was divided. She wanted a tom who would be hers alone. The two fought, and didn't talk to each other for a long time. The leader was sick, and Hawktalon's life had turned to chaos. He went to Brackentwist, and told her he was going to step down from his rank. Horrified, she told him to keep it, claiming he was one of the Clan's strongest warriors. They needed him in their time of hardship. After a long debate, Hawktalon decided to keep his rank. But there was still the problem of Flamespirit. He wanted to speak with her. He didn't want to get back together after he became leader, because some might think Flamespirit wanted him only because of his rank. Gathering his courage, he went to her and explained the situation between himself and Brackentwist. She apologized for her actions, and forgave him for his. She said she had acted rashly and shouldn't have done so. They officially decided to become mates. About a moon later, Kestrelstar, ThunderClan's leader, died. Hawktalon took her place, supported by all his Clanmates. He received his nine lives, and began to lead the Clan as best he could.
Other: Family members will be up for adoption soon! Previous Mate: Brackentwist Current Mate: Flamespirit Son: Coldpaw Daughters: Leafpaw, Flowerpaw, Cherrypaw Sister: Mousewhisker
Also! Here's a little note on the lives Hawkstar recieved. He still has all nine, so I'll keep track of them here as well. Kestrelstar: "With this life, I give you hope. Use it to guide your Clan in times of hardship." Dovetail [ Flamespirit's mother ]: "With this life, I give you love. Use it to protect your Clan and put others before yourself." Naomi: "With this life, I give you courage. Be brave when things seem bad. Do not let your fears cloud your judgement." Cedarfoot [ previous deputy ]: "With this life, I give you wisdom. Use it to make decisions for the good of the Clan. Don't let anything sway your decision, and trust your instincts." Poppynose [ Hawkstar's mentor ]: "With this life, I give you laughter. Use it to keep the Clan's spirit strong. Remember to still be playful despite your rank." Harespring [ Flamespirit's father ]: "With this life, I give you strength. Use it in battle against your enemies, and to protect those you love." Ravenfrost [ Brackentwist's mother ]: "With this life, I give you forgiveness. One bad act must not form your entire judgement of anyone. Always be willing to give second chances." Gorsestar [ previous leader ]: "With this life, I give you humility. Every life matters, even the youngest. The importance of being leader doesn't matter when someone's in danger. You mustn't be afraid to help others."
