welcome to thunderclan
thunderclan values loyalty, honesty, and strength above all else. they are a powerful clan, strong in battle. its members are a closely-knit group of warriors, each knowing everyone's name. thunderclan tries to be peaceful, preferring to talk things out rather than fighting as their first option. they live in a thick forest, making them good at fighting and hunting in the undergrowth. their prey is mainly mice, voles, squirrels, rabbits, and birds. they tend to accept more loners and kittypets into their camp than the other clans, and for this they are often thought of as the clan without pure blood. however, it makes them strong in battle, and although they have more mouths to feed, they also have more paws to catch prey.
territory as mentioned before, thunderclan lives in a thick forest, mainly populated by oak, maple, and cedar. they share borders with shadowclan, riverclan, and bloodclan. a river cuts between thunderclan a riverclan, heading north, and creating the border. it flows steadily until it turns into riverclan territory, toward the falls. crossing it is a twoleg bridge and a diet path, which makes up the rest of the border until it reaches fourtrees. next to fourtrees, a huge thunderpath splits the forest, and acts as the border between shadowclan and thunderclan. monsters roar up and down this treacherous path, making it nearly impossible to cross. kits are forbidden to go here, and apprentices can not walk along the border unless accompanied by a senior warrior. the last border cuts between thunderclan and bloodclan territory. a smaller, lass dangerous thunderpath runs along a fence, which blocks out the treecut place. on the other side lies the city, and bloodclan territory. thunderclan camp is located near the center of their territory. a great, sandy ravine dips down towards a line of thornbushes, which protects the camp. the closest landmark to the camp is the sandy hollow, a place used for training and for kits to play. the ground is covered in a thick layer of loose sand, making the ground slippery but soft if one were to fall. on the opposite side of camp lies the great sycamore, one of the tallest trees in thunderclan territory. warriors often take their apprentices here to practice climbing, and the apprentices enjoy competing to see who can climb the highest. about a five minute walk from their lies snakerocks, and ominous clearing full of boulders stretching up to the sky. poisonous adders slither in and out of hidden crevices, making it a deadly place to visit. like the thunderpath, kits are forbidden to go here, and apprentices can not enter unless accompanied by a senior warrior. turn away from the thunderpath, head towards the bloodclan border, and about ten minutes later you'll see tallpines. pine trees stretch higher than the rest of the forest planted in neat rows by twolegs. bushes are scarce, and the branches have been hacked off the trees until about ten feet up. trea-eaters come here often, spitting fumes and forming deep gullies in the soil. beside the river which forms thunderclan's first border, a cluster of sun-baked, yellowish rocks lie in the open. this is another good place for training and lazing about. mice make their dens among the stones, and it's an excellent place to rest when the sun is at its highest. between sunningrocks and fourtrees lies the owltree, the home of a huge tawny owl who could eat a kit for dinner. again, kits are forbidden to go here, but apprentices may come unaccompanied if permitted by their mentor.
camp as mentioned before, thunderclan camp lies at the bottom of a steep ravine, surrounded by a thick wall of thorns and brambles. a small tunnel provides the only way into camp, so if an enemy were to attack, they'd have to enter one by one. inside the camp, a large clearing stretches to the very edge. the earth is flattened with the pawsteps of generations of cats. near the center of camp, a large rock juts out of the ground, rising about three tail-lengths into the air. this is called highrock, and it is where the leader makes his or her announcements. on the opposite side of the rock is an entrance, covered by a curtain of lichen. long ago, a river carved out the inside of the rock, providing thunderclan's leader with a place to sleep. to the side of the clearing lies the fresh-kill pile, and next to that, a patch of nettles where the senior warriors share their meals. a thick bramble bush serves as the nursery. a small tunnel leads inside, and has barely enough room for a warrior to fit through. a larger cat would get caught between the brambles, and be unable to harm the queens and their kits. the apprentice's den is hidden in a circle of ferns on the edge of camp. next to it lies a tree stump, where they share their meals and often play or train together. the warrior's den is located between the nursery and the patch of nettles where the senior warrior's eat. a bush provides walls to shelter the nests with in. the senior warriors sleep in the center, where it's warmest. the medicine cat's den is found through a split in a huge rock, almost as tall as the highrock. squeeze through their, and you'll come to a bramble-covered den where the sick make their nests. a tunnel of ferns leads deeper into the den, where their is a small, grassy clearing, with a fresh water pool at one end. flat rocks lay around the edges, serving as a place to store herbs. the medicine cat's nest is at the back, near the pool of water. near the back of camp lies a fallen tree, the roots facing towards highrock. a tangle of branches leads to a hollow area in the trunk, with moss and ferns growing steadily from every corner. materials for nests, such as feathers, brambles, and moss, lay strewn across the floor, offering a place to sleep for the elders.
high positions quick note! you can not ask for a high position. doing so will only lower your chances of getting one. you must be active and a good roleplayer, and if you are noticed by one of the current high positions, they will mention you. high positions are chosen in character, by the leader. now you might ask, whose the leader? here's a quick list of the high ranks as well as their roleplayers. leader. hawkstar. played by jinx. deputy. blackbird. played by froggie. medicine cat. tawnystep. played by mini. medicine cat apprentice. otterpaw. played by scribbles.
